More on Elle’s Law

Since my last Elle’s Law post got some responses, I just thought I’d share some of the new print ads with you all. I also wanted to let you know that you can go to the Elle’s Law website to read about this law and more!

So, please be careful and practice good traffic safety! Look out for pedestrians, go the speed limit, and be safe! Also, I found this fact to be interesting:
According to 2008 data from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, there were more than 15,000 pedestrian accidents statewide, with more than 97% resulting in physical injuries. Only 2% of those accidents involved drugs or alcohol.
So, just because you are sober doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be fully alert and paying attention.
Disclosure: I received nothing for this post. The opinions expressed are my own.

This hurts my heart. As a teacher I’ve had students in grades 4 and 5 who have been hit by cars while riding their bikes… not once but many have been hit twice! Terrible!
I think that’s a pretty powerful add. Hopefully it gets peoples attention and helps educate others so that we can avoid these needless accidents.
