Given that I’m in college and that I love to read, I’m always losing bookmarks and using interesting ways to keep my place in the books I’m reading. For instance, in the above literacy textbook, I’ve been using some sticky tabs to mark important sections. Other times, I will simply use a plain piece of paper to mark my spot. Then, I was introduced to a unique product. This product is called Book Buddy!

Book Buddy fits around the front cover of a hardback book or the cover and first several pages of a softcover book. It has a pen/pencil/highlighter holder on the front of it that is perfect for any student. Then, it has a pretty ribbon attached to it that you can use as a bookmark! How awesome is that? This is what it looks like when you put it on a softback book and use the bookmark.

I was impressed with the selection of ribbons for the book buddies. I received the above one which is really pretty and a basketball one. I believe they have something for every reader! Plus, these might be good to encourage young readers because they can get a ribbon that suits them! Also, they have different sizes of Book Buddies! There is the standard size for regular books and there is a bigger one which is great for textbooks.

I really like my Book Buddy bookmarks because of the ease of use. Plus, they were created by Brenda Palmer and the company was founded with the help of her family. I think that’s just such a great story! As a future educator, I’m really glad to have discovered these early on and I’m sure mine will get plenty of use.
