I love some good holiday music, it puts me in a good mood. So, I was happy to review the fun holiday music CD, the Kidz Bop Christmas Party CD. In case you don’t know, Kidz Bop CDs contain versions of real songs sang by children, so it’s family appropriate. The Christmas Party CD has 15 tracks of your favorite holiday songs.

It has one of my holiday tunes, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”. I really enjoyed this version as it’s got a nice feeling to it. Their rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas” is pretty and upbeat. I also liked the addition of the song “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”. Haha! It made me laugh. I think the song” Christmas Time is Here” is a nice way to end the CD since it’s slower and less exciting (compared to the other songs). It’s a good song, just not as upbeat as the others.

I like that it’s also not overly religious, so if I ever want to use it at a holiday function at the school I could probably get by with it. The songs do mention Christmas (obviously), but the songs don’t go into any detail about any certain religions beliefs. I don’t think anyone would be offended by this cd. Plus, the kids singing it makes it seem more appropriate for younger folks. All of this adds up to an entire family fun holiday cd. This is definitely a good holiday music cd.
