College Packing List

BacktoSchoolEventButton College Packing List

I posted a College Essentials Checklist last year which contained a huge list of stuff I was packing. However, I realized I left some stuff out. Haha! So, instead of re-posting the entire list I’m just going to list the additional things here and refer you back to my original post. icon wink College Packing List

Cleaning Supplies (I can’t believe I completely left this out):
* Paper Towels
* Vacuum
* Disinfecting Wipes
* Toilet Bowl Cleaner and Shower Cleaner (if you are responsible for cleaning it)
* Trash Can (I prefer my bright pink one with handles and a lid in comparison to the one in the room)
* General Cleaner
* Febreze Odor Eliminator (Debbie, a lovely reader, made this suggestion last year and she is most certainly correct)

Other Supplies:
* Batteries (check to see what you need before you get there as college bookstores charge a small fortune for them)

Oh, I also discovered something cool from Target this year where you can create an online college checklist. I haven’t used it or anything, but it looks cool.

Lastly, I had a question last year about purchasing books. I buy textbooks online from Half.com. icon biggrin College Packing List

So, what else do you think a college student needs?

Disclosure: I received nothing for this post. Neither Target, Half.com, or eBay are in any way associated with this post. The opinions expressed are my own.

    I had no idea Target had this online checklist. Thanks!

    I think college students need a small coffee pot.

    College students shouldn’t forget some small personal items to remind them of home!

    I just bought a livescribe pen (used, from Craigslist) and it is the best academic investment I’ve made in a while. I highly advise considering it for college!

    I sent my daughter with a flashlight and batteries (in case the electricity goes out). I also have some Amazon Subscribe and Save offerings going to her on a regular basis (for some reason, she didn’t think she would need food beyond the campus meals, but she figured that out in a hurry!) We packed so much (bedding, towels, shower caddy [important for her to carry into the communal shower], a reading lamp [focused light to avoid keeping her dorm mate awake]) – gosh! there’s just so much that you have to fit into a teeny tiny dorm room!
