College Packing List
I posted a College Essentials Checklist last year which contained a huge list of stuff I was packing. However, I realized I left some stuff out. Haha! So, instead of re-posting the entire list I’m just going to list the additional things here and refer you back to my original post. 
Cleaning Supplies (I can’t believe I completely left this out):
* Paper Towels
* Vacuum
* Disinfecting Wipes
* Toilet Bowl Cleaner and Shower Cleaner (if you are responsible for cleaning it)
* Trash Can (I prefer my bright pink one with handles and a lid in comparison to the one in the room)
* General Cleaner
* Febreze Odor Eliminator (Debbie, a lovely reader, made this suggestion last year and she is most certainly correct)
Other Supplies:
* Batteries (check to see what you need before you get there as college bookstores charge a small fortune for them)
Oh, I also discovered something cool from Target this year where you can create an online college checklist. I haven’t used it or anything, but it looks cool.
Lastly, I had a question last year about purchasing books. I buy textbooks online from Half.com. 
So, what else do you think a college student needs?

Cleaning supplies are definitely very important for college dorm living!

College students shouldn’t forget some small personal items to remind them of home!

i would think that a laptop is pretty important too! maybe a bit expensive, but kind of necessary
I just bought a livescribe pen (used, from Craigslist) and it is the best academic investment I’ve made in a while. I highly advise considering it for college!
I sent my daughter with a flashlight and batteries (in case the electricity goes out). I also have some Amazon Subscribe and Save offerings going to her on a regular basis (for some reason, she didn’t think she would need food beyond the campus meals, but she figured that out in a hurry!) We packed so much (bedding, towels, shower caddy [important for her to carry into the communal shower], a reading lamp [focused light to avoid keeping her dorm mate awake]) – gosh! there’s just so much that you have to fit into a teeny tiny dorm room!
