Everwood Finale Season 222x300 Everwood Complete Fourth Season Review

So, several years ago while channel surfing I stumbled upon a tv show on television which I had never seen before. I didn’t know what show it was or anything. I actually didn’t learn until what it was until recently when I saw the opportunity to review Everwood: The Complete Fourth Season. I apparently had caught the third season finale of Everwood. Needless to say, I was excited to watch this final season to see what happened to the characters and story lines.

It was great to know that Mrs. Abbott survived her cancer. Plus, Andy does end up with Nina. icon smile Everwood Complete Fourth Season Review The ending does let you know that Amy and Ephram get back together. We can only assume that Hannah manages to forgive Bright for cheating on her when she decides to give up a full ride scholarship to Notre Dame to attend the local college. While many of the storylines were tied up with a nice ending, I would have liked to have known more specifics about the ending. However, I know the reasoning behind the season ending this way.

This 5-disc, 22-episodes season came out on dvd on August 2nd. The final season was actually shown on television back in 2006 and was not renewed when the WB became the CW. icon sad Everwood Complete Fourth Season Review This dvd set even included an alternate cliff hanger scene. Gah! I will say that I prefer the ending shown since it’s the finale.

Generally, I don’t giveaway all of that info in my reviews. However, since this was on tv years ago and it’s the final season, I don’t think I’ll be ruining much. Besides, you can look up the final scene on the internet. icon wink Everwood Complete Fourth Season Review

I really enjoyed this show. I’m sad it didn’t get renewed. I would actually watch another season if they made it. I would love to see if things did work out between Bright and Hannah. I would also like to know what happens with Ephram’s child. However, given the circumstances, I was very happy with the show. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and rooting for them. I find myself as attached as had I watched it from week to week in the beginning. I could relate to many of the characters at various points in time (definitely Hannah). I really enjoyed watching this show by myself. It was a nice way to relax and to have some alone time.

I actually did go online to read up on previous seasons as they kept aluding to previous events (Ephram’s child and baby momma, etc.) that I didn’t know about. Granted, they did remind/tell you about them later in the season. However, I wanted to know about them then. Haha! I’m actually tempted to go out and purchase the first three seasons just to watch them even though I know what happens. icon biggrin Everwood Complete Fourth Season Review

So, did you watch Everwood? Were you a fan of the show? What did you think of its ending?
