Malt-O-Meal Cereal #Giveaway

Malt-O-Meal is talking about the r’s of going back to school (and not reading, writing, and arithmetic) this year – reduce, reuse, and recycle. Bag the Box is the movement to stop purchasing boxes of cereal which are wasteful. All of the Malt-O-Meal cereals come in bags, so you can cut down on waste.

Plus, Malt-O-Meal just came out with a new flavor of cereal – the Blueberry Mini Spooners! These little bits of good morning deliciousness are full of whole grain, made with 11 vitamins and minerals, have 0 grams of trans fat! Plus, they cost almost a dollar less per pound than Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats. So, they are healthy and affordable (big pluses for a college student). I was excited to try this new cereal since I really like blueberries. Here is what a bowl of them look like.

Don’t they look yummy? They have a distinct blueberry taste to them that’s not overpowering. It’s also kind of sweet. I would have liked a more even coating on the individual pieces of cereal, but that’s just me being picky. Haha! I was surprised and impressed with the wonderful taste of the cereal. I was also happy to learn that it has a good amount of fiber in it.

The cereal tastes sweet without being overly so. I like that it also provides some nutritional benenfits, so it’s not like I’m eating a bowl full of just sugar. With Malt-O-Meal you can help the environment, you/your child, and your pocketbook. I think that makes the perfect cereal!
