I posted the RIO DVD Giveaway last month and the movie sounded cute enough. So, I was happy to review it. I actually watched it right before my Green Giant Valley Visit to Minnesota. So, I was happy when I realized that Linda and her bird Blu are from Minnesota. I thought that was so neat. I mean they could have lived in one of the other 49 states. Haha!

Anyways, this movie is so cute and fun! Here is a trailer for it.

Don’t you just love the music in it? The whole movie is like that! I loved that the creators involved actual events (Carnaval) and stuff. In the trailer you can see the statue that is really in Rio de Janiero! Plus, the parade with the extravagant costumes is dead-on! I was very impressed with the details.

The voices of the creatures were magnificent! I simply loved Jesse Eisenberg as Blu. He voiced it perfectly. I could tell it was him, but it was correct. I also enjoyed George Lopez’s character/voicing as well as Anne Hathaway’s (I didn’t notice it was her to begin with), Wanda Sykes (I noticed it without looking it up), and Tracy Morgan (totally cute dog). Everyone did a fabulous job in this film.

I think that since the voices are so wonderful and the attention to details makes this a movie for the whole family. Little ones would enjoy the cartoons and singing. Adults can appreciate the details and big stars involved. This is definitely a good family movie.
