10 Holiday Planning Tips
Gosh, can it really be early October already??? Where has the year gone? I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking about the holidays. To get you excited about the upcoming fun, I thought I’d share 10 tips I just came up with for the holidays.
1. You can never start planning purchases too early.
By this I mean, you can start purchasing stuff as soon as Christmas is over for the next year by hitting up those sales. Granted, you’d want to wait to buy things such as food. However, if you see something that you would like to get for someone next year, you can at least write it down.
2. Don’t be afraid of lists.
I love lists! They are my best friend. I make lists for literally everything. So, don’t be afraid to make lists. Lists of things to buy, things to do, things to make. They can be really helpful.

3. Take pictures early.
I know many people like to send out a nice Christmas card or letter every year with a family photo. So, don’t wait until the last minute to take a picture. I mean it does take time to get the cards made and delivered to your house.
4. Purchase Storkie Christmas Cards.
They have tons of different options that can save you time. For instance, check out their fancy return address labels that save time or their envelope seals. Plus, they look great!
5. Start addressing cards soon.
This goes along with the previous tip. Don’t wait until Christmas Eve to begin addressing those lovely Christmas cards! If you start sending them out in early December with a few at a time, it should go by quickly and easily. Plus, you won’t have to sacrifice a big chunk of time to do the cards.
6. Blog ahead.
Yes, that’s right, you gotta plan for your blog. I try to have at least 1 post planned per day for a week. Then, I try to write and schedule them at least a few days in advance. This means if you want to go to a fun party instead of sitting at the computer blogging, you can do so.
7. Ask for help.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. You can also ask people what they want for a gift instead of having to just randomly come up with something (although, I love the surprise).
8. Stock up.
Start preparing for the holidays ahead of time by purchasing things such as tape, paper, bags, recipe ingredients, etc. when they are on sale so you have them on hand when you need them. This saves you a trip and money in the long run.
9. Don’t be afraid to start a new tradition.
It’s great to have traditions. However, don’t feel like you have to do the EXACT same things every single year. If a new event or dish sounds fun, give it a try!
10. Relax!
I know all too well how stressful things can get towards the end of the fall semester with the holidays and projects and all. However, take time to relax and enjoy the festivities with friends and family. After all, it’s what the holidays are about.
Disclosure:
I wrote this blog post while participating in the Storkie holiday blogging program. I received compensation for my participation. All opinions are 100% mine.

Great tips! I started on Christmas last year right after Christmas because we spent way too mcuh money and didn’t get everyone gifts last year. I have been using some of the things I win in giveaways or great discounts. Of over 50 people to buy for I only have 5 or 6 left and haven’t spent much money at all!

Love the card you picked up there!
These are all helpful tips. I especially like your tip for start addressing cards soon. That can be started anytime. Stocking up on items is a great idea also, especially if we see a sale.
Thanks for the holiday tips. I agree with all.
I shop year round for Christmas. Now if I could just stay organized with having posts scheduled for my blog. Great tips.
