Hallmark Christmas Giveaway
One of my favorite stores to visit, especially at Christmastime is Hallmark. I mean they have so many unique and beautiful items. The company has been on my list of places to work with for a while now. So, I was really excited when they agreed to work with me. I was able to receive two wonderful items from Hallmark, just in time for Christmas.
I received one of their interactive keepsake ornaments, which is awesome. I picked the one that takes batteries and counts down the time until Christmas! How cool is that? It counts down to the very last second. So, not only is it interactive with a countdown, it can be educational. I mean you can review/teach the concept of time in terms of days, hours, minutes, and seconds! How great is that? I think this one is just adorable.
The other product I received I have been very curious about for a while now. You see, elementary classes have learning stations now days. One of the popular stations is a listening station. I created one last fall for my teaching of reading course. It is essentially a place in the room where a teacher has books that they have already read to the class with a recording of the story for the student to listen to. This allows every student to participate in the center as well as get practice reading since they can point to the words in the book to follow along.
With the Hallmark Recordable Storybooks, you can create something similar at home! You can record your voice so that when a person turns the page, your voice comes out reading it! The books even come with some fancy music to make it sound professional! I was so impressed with the ease, quality, and usefulness of this product that I created a video showing myself making a recording for the book.
