Ellen Barrett Live: Power Fusion DVD Giveaway

I love getting to try new workouts, as you probably know by now. So, my interest was piqued when I received the Ellen Barrett Live: Power Fusion DVD. I had never heard of her. So, I thought it may be easy but good for a change exercise. Haha! Little did I know that I was in for a surprise.
This dvd features a 45 minute workout. The first 30 minutes are spent standing and sweating. I seriously wasn’t expecting such a great workout from some simple looking DVD from someone I had never heard of. However, it definitely makes me sweat loads. You see, Ellen Barrett filmed this workout in her studio with several other women working out behind her. So, it’s done live without retouching their makeup. It’s kind of fun to see other women with real looking bodies sweating along with me. The last 15 minutes are mat work. So, you get a full workout in less than an hour with this disc.
Like I said, I wasn’t expecting much from this workout. However, I have been challenged every single time I’ve done it. About 15-18 minutes into the workout, I’m already feeling the burn and breathing deeply. I do wish the workout was broken up into chapters to make it easier to catch my breath or get some water. However, I guess a class of it doesn’t get breaks. So, it’s like really being there with them. Overall, it’s a very nice workout. It’s more intense than I thought it would be. However, the moves are simple enough that anyone can do them. You just have to have the willpower to continue with the workout.
