Mead 2012 Planner Giveaway

The new semester starts tomorrow for me. So, now is the time to get organized. I will be student teaching this semester and hope to have a job in the fall. Both of these things require me to be organized and to know what is going on. That being said, I love a good planner. I’m serious. I would be nothing without a planner. We were required to use planners in upper elementary school and middle school. I don’t think I kept up with one in high school though. Then, in college, I realized how necessary it was to have one.
A planner allows me to keep up with test dates, due dates, assignments/homework, chores, tv shows, blogging schedule, etc. I love to make plans for almost everything. So, a planner is great for me. I like being able to look at things overall (long term) as well as what is going on right now. So, a planner with space for everyday and a month at a glance is my preference. That way, I can get a sense of the month ahead and know what is going on that particular day. Mead is honestly my favorite brand for planners (and not just because I get to work with them).
I recently received a 2012 planner from Mead. It has a sturdy cover so that it can take being tossed into a bag and carried around (say from school to campus to home). The cover is also pretty and stylish (such as the one pictured above). It can make a stressful semester seem less dull for sure. It has also tabs for each month, which I love. I have been known to add my own tabs for months when I got a planner without them. It does feature both the month calendar and a day by day space divided up into weeks for easy planning. It even comes with three extra undated months (just in case). There’s also address pages included so you can keep up with important people’s contact info (for instance, my supervising teachers info or professors or students). The planner is spiral bound but the cover keeps the spiral from getting tangled up in something or broken.
Overall, I’m in love with this planner from Mead. My only complaint is that the blank for each day doesn’t have lines. So, for someone with semi-sloppy handwriting (and big), it can be hard to tell how big I should write things. However, I love everything else about this planner. I even like that it’s an in between size – not too big to carry around and not so small I can’t actually write stuff in it or that it will get lost easily.
Are you jealous of my planner yet? Then enter below to win the one pictured above!
