Now that it’s summer, I am once again able to enjoy some free time. So, it’s only natural that I feature some products that I am happy to have time for now. One of the new products that has come out just in time for summer get togethers and bored people is Bop It! Smash. I remember the original Bop It! from when I was a kid. One of my friends had one at their party and it was awesome to play. So, I thought it would be fabulous to talk a walk down memory lane by trying out this new game.

Instead of making the player(s) do different wacky things (you remember having to pull, twist, and bop it, right?) to the product, you just have to hit/bop the machine in this one. However, you can’t just bop it randomly or else you will lose. The display has a rapidly moving light in the center of the game. You try to catch the light in the middle of the device to gain points. I was able to get the middle one a couple of times. However, I was more likely to mess up and get one of the outer lights and to lose the game. Haha!

The game can be played by one person or as a group. I think that aspect is great since I’m an only child and I have a boyfriend. This means I can play it by myself or with a group of friends. It is kind of fun to try and get the center light because you think it looks so easy. However, once you try it, you realize it’s not as easy as you thought it would be. The game does require 3 AA batteries which are included, so you can actually play it right out of the package. At $19.99, it’s a pretty good deal for children and adults to play (ages 8 and up).
