It’s no secret that my problem area is my stomach. I mean I gain weight in other areas of my body, too. It’s just that my middle seems to be the most noticeable. So, I was pretty excited to try the new Coregeous with Jill Miller workout DVD. It features 7 transformational routines with 4 main sequences. These sequences include: CORE Re-Form (deep tissue massage), Get COREganized (proper alignment and breathing), InCOREporate (for a strong lower and rib cage muscles), and Get COREgeous (for body balance and core muscles). Basically, it’s a video with lots of moves to improve your core.
While all of that sounds fabulous, I was disappointed to realize that I needed extra equipment to do the workout. It recommends a stability ball, YTU therapy balls, soft sponge ball, or yoga block for the workout. However, you can substitute by using tennis balls, a blanket, and a large book. Would you believe that we don’t have any tennis balls? Haha! I played tennis is gym in school and that’s it. So, I’ve had no reason to own any tennis balls. I also didn’t find the blanket substitution to be as effective as their materials in the video. I think to get the full benefit of this workout, you definitely need their stuff.
Even though I had issues with the equipment, I did enjoy the pace of the workout. Jill Miller has created a core workout that actually works the entire ab area. Plus, I didn’t feel any ripping during the workout if you know what I mean. I felt like I was working my core from every angle without too much pressure. It was nice. Now, one of my readers will get the chance to try this workout.
