Grapes from California Snack

As you already know, I love it when I can eat healthy snacks. Prior to this post, I already purchased grapes to eat as a snack. So, I knew I wanted to learn about ways to create more foods featuring grapes. I received a copy of Green Black Red which features recipes for enjoying California Grapes. Did you know that California-grown grapes account for 99% of all the grapes sold in the US? I did not, but I think that’s very cool.
Green Black Red has an assortment of recipes from drinks and sides to recipes for kids. When I was selected to participate in the Healthy Snack Challenge, I began looking for something easy to inspire me. I quickly selected the no-brainer PB&G. I love PB&J sandwiches. However, the jelly has the addition of sugar and other stuff I don’t need. It had never occured to me to just place some grapes in place of the jelly on the sandwich. Since this was for a snack, I decided to put a spin on an old favorite snack with crackers.
I call it PB&G Crackers. Haha! I took some regular Zesta crackers (my family’s preferred cracker for years) and put a heaping amount of peanut butter on it (like we love it). Then, I halved some grapes to put on the crackers. So, as you can tell, it’s a really quick and simple snack to make. Plus, it’s healthier than many other options out there. See how delicious it looks!

Did this post inspire you to think of a fabulous grape snack idea? Then, you should head over to the Grapes from California Facebook page and enter their Makeover Your Snack Contest. By entering your snack, you can win $5,000! Wow! Talk about a nice prize. You have until July 31st to enter your grape snack into the contest. So, don’t delay.
Disclosure: I am posting this to participate in the Healthy Snack Challenge from the Family Review Network. I received a free copy of the book and $10 to purchase ingredients for my snack. No compensation was received but I am entered to win a gift card by posting this. The opinions expressed are my own.
