JetPens Sakura Pigma Micron 05 Marker Pen Review

It’s a well-known fact that I’m a pen/office supplies hoarder. Haha! Seriously, I spent around an hour this week labeling 130 pencils, pens, and markers in preparation for the fall. I am hoping to have a job teaching come August, so I want to make an effort to keep all of my supplies since I’m starting out poor. Haha! Anyways, I need all of the supplies I can get starting out. So, while I was hesitant to post this review since I received just one single pen, I’m doing it because I need it and because it’s a really nice pen. However, a tip for JetPens is to provide more than one product in the future.
JetPens is a great site featuring hard-to-find, unique Japanese pens and stationery. It’s actually a really neat site with tons of different products. The items were randomly selected to be sent out to bloggers and I received the JetPens Sakura Pigma Micron 05 Marker Pen in Green. It is a very nice pen with micro pigment ink that is waterproof and fade proof. The color is very pretty as you can see in the picture above. It writes very smoothly and nicely. I really like the needle tip as it makes wonderful letters and turns. It would be a perfect pen for arts and crafts.
At $2.50 it is definitely a pen to be used for special things. I would not spend that much money on a pen just to grade papers with. Haha! Although, it would be great for making a cute classroom artifact. Then again, most items on the JetPens site would be great for crafts of all kinds.
Disclosure: I received a free pen from JetPens. No compensation was received. The opinions expressed are my own.
