Nestle Juicy Juice Fruit For All Giveaway

Juicy Juice Fruit for All Project 300x178 Nestle Juicy Juice Fruit For All Giveaway

During my student teaching experience, my first placement was at a Title I primary school. This meant that the children were at risk of falling behind. Additionally, there were a large number of students on free/reduced lunch. This was my first time being with children who I didn’t know if they were getting enough to eat at home and it broke my heart. Did you know that over 16 million American children (more than 1 in 5) are food insecure, meaning they live at risk of hunger? You can even view an interactive hunger map to see how many are at risk of hunger in your state and county. Gosh, that is awful, isn’t it? Thinking about it makes me realize why I should be thankful of what I have and the childhood I had. I never went to bed hungry and I don’t think that any child should.

Needless to say, I whole-heartedly support Nestle’s new initiative with Juicy Juice and Feeding America. For food insecure children who rely on free or reduced-price lunches, the summer presents an even greater risk. In fact, 18.7 million children are at risk during the summer months. Thankfully, the Fruit for All Project is stepping in. Between now and August 31, a piece of fruit will be provided to hungry kids and their families each time Juicy Juice is purchased. Kids and their parents can also get involved by logging on to Juicy Juice’s Facebook page or FruitForAllProject.com to complete challenges like games, quizzes and puzzles to earn even more fruit donations for those in need. They are willing to donate up to 35 million pieces. You can view how many donations have been made on this donation tracker.

So, if you are in need of a beverage, consider making it Juicy Juice or if you are bored, go do one of their fun activities so we can help children eat this summer. Additionally, Nestle Juicy Juice wants to help out my community as well as my readers’ communities. So, they are going to donate 400 meals to one of my local food banks and to one lucky reader’s local food bank. Enter below to help out the people in your area.
