Last Monday you might have noticed where I Tweeted that I was at Discovery Place with my boyfriend. We had a fabulous time! You can see the album of Discovery Place photos on my Facebook page. There’s so much to do at Discovery Place. I know that lots of it is meant for children. However, I enjoyed it immensely with my boyfriend and we are in our twenty’s. Haha!

I loved seeing all of the turtles/tortoises. They are some of my favorite animals so I was pleased to see so many of them at Discovery Place. Something that surprised and pleased the both of us was that there was people working at Discovery Place just walking around and carrying animals for us to see. You honestly never know what you are going to see when you walk around a corner at Discovery Place. Everything was so fabulous and exciting. We spent over two hours there and I know that we could have stayed for at least double that. There are many hands-on activities there for everyone to enjoy. My boyfriend liked being able to build various things both on a computer and with blocks.

Discovery Place gets different exhibits over the course of a year. So, you can make return visits to see new things. During our visit we got to see the Crittercam exhibit which was pretty cool. It’s where they placed cameras on various animals to observe them. It was really interesting to see all of the animals and the footage they captured. We also viewed the Dolphins 3D Tribes of the Ocean film. It was a nice little 3D film on dolphins and how scarce they are becoming. I think dolphins are beautiful, so I enjoyed the film immensely.

At the end of our visit, we were hungry. Thankfully, I noticed the cafe when we came in and we decided stop by on our way out. They have cupcakes! Oh my goodness! It’s really an all-in-one place to visit. I mean they have countless hours of entertainment for the whole family (which is different depending on when you go and what specials they have) plus cupcakes! What a wonderful place! I think it was some of the most fun we’ve had in a while. I can imagine what fun a whole family would have there.
