One of my favorite places to eat at with my mom is IHOP. I just love getting to eat a delicious pancake at anytime of the day. I also enjoy all of the variety they offer with their pancakes. For instance, until September 2nd at participating IHOP locations, you can get 1 of 3 Signature Pancakes! This includes Red Velvet Pancakes, Sweet Strawberry Pancakes, and Whole Wheat Pancakes with Bananas. They are considered signature because these aren’t the types of pancakes you can or will make at home. So, it makes for a fun and unique experience at the restaurant.

Today I was able to head to a local IHOP with my parents to try these pancakes. My mom got the Whole Wheat Pancakes with Bananas (pictured on the right above). I got the Red Velvet Pancakes (on the left). I do apologize for not having more and better photos of the pancakes. However, we there right around breakfast time and it was crowded. So, I didn’t want to be that awkward girl taking photos of her family’s food. Those pictures came from my cell phone. As you can see, the whole wheat pancakes are fluffy and golden. My mom wanted to try them because she had never had whole wheat pancakes before muchless with bananas. She was afraid it would have a bad taste to it. However, she was really suprised to learn that they were really good. Now, I can only hope she will opt for the healthier whole wheat more often.

Being the fan of cupcakes and cake that I am, I knew I had to try the Red Velvet. Doesn’t the description sound divine?

They were obviously really good. I ordered a glass of water to enjoy with my pancakes and that was a good move. They are sweet and I wouldn’t have wanted a sweet beverage with it. Milk would have been a good choice, too. The red velvet pancakes were a unique experience for me and I wouldn’t mind going back for more before September. Now, I’m sure you’re drooling by now and would love to try these pancakes too, right?
