I just love it when I discover a new app, especially a super handy one. I was very recently introduced to the RedLaser app. It is a really cool app that can do many things. It will be great to have as we go into the holiday shopping season, for sure. It can downloaded on to your iPhone, Android and Windows phone. So, no matter which operating system your phone has, you can probably put this app to good use. Plus, it’s free to download. There’s literally nothing to lose.

Now, I keep talking about how awesome it is but I haven’t said exactly what it does. One of the neastest things I’ve had it do was when I took a picture of a bar code and had it scan the picture to tell me what the product was (it was a bottle of conditioner). Then, it also told me various places where I could buy it along with its price there. Wow! Isn’t that wonderful! Just think how much money you can save with this app. I mean you scan items you know you’re going to need while at home. Then, you can plan your trip before you ever leave the house. In fact, you can even create a shopping list using the app which can then be shared on your social media networks (in case you are dividing up the list with someone).

Additionally, the app provides users with information on the product they have scanned. It will show your product reviews and ratings. So, you can find out if that newest expensive bottle of lip gloss is really worth it or not before you even buy it. Also, I think it’s wonderful that you can scan food to discover its ingredients, including allergen information.
