It’s looking like I will be a substitute teacher this year. Hopefully, I can get my foot in the door for a full time teaching position soon tough. I can’t wait for the first day of school when I’m a teacher. It will require lots of planning and prepping. However, I am still hopeful it will happen eventually. One of my favorite brands for school products is Elmer’s. I think we all know and love their glue. They have recently come out with a new app that is great for parents and teachers. It’s the 1st Day of School App.
The 1st Day app allows you to share pictures of the first day of school. You can use it to create slideshows, add borders, and share them via email or Facebook. So, you can save the moments of the first day of school and show this milestone to others. Parents can use it to remember down the road. Teachers could use it to get to know their students easily. I mean putting a name with a face can be a difficult task. However, it’s a great way to begin building a relationship with that student.
Additionally, Elmer’s will donate one product for each photo upload (up to 200,000 uploads) to the Kids in Need Foundation which in turn gives the supplies to deserving students. So, you can preserve your memories while helping out other children. It’s a win-win.
