Hot Body Cool Mind Life Force Power System Giveaway

It’s been a few weeks since I last posted a workout dvd review. That’s because I was taking my time trying out the Hot Body Cool Mind Life Force Power System by Jennifer Kries. It’s a 4 disc set filled with 10 hours of exercises. See why it’s taken me a few weeks to try this one out? There are actually three different levels of workouts in this set. There’s Level 1: Beginner, Embark on the Journey (150 minutes), Level 2: Intermediate, Harness the Power (130 minutes), and Level 3: Advanced, Life Force Power Challenge (140 minutes).
There’s so much to this set that I don’t even know where to begin. Jennifer really goes for the whole body approach with this series (including your mind). You can do a simple 20 minute segment or combine segments to make your own workout. There’s also a couple of suggested routines on each dvd. It all depends on your time, ability, and how you feel that day. I really like this series because it definitely keeps me from getting bored. With so many options, I can really do something different virtually everyday for weeks. Granted, there’s a reason they are grouped by levels. Level 1 is perfect to start out with. It gets you used to some of the moves and is at a slower pace. Then, you pick up speed and more moves with Level 2 and that continues into Level 3.
This set features at least one workout segment for everyone. It includes dancing (ballet and jazz) which I really liked. They aren’t what you’d expect for a typical dance workout. They are fun yet more powerful than most I’ve done previously. I also loved the two cardio workouts in the set. The first is on Level 2 and then at Level 3 you start with exactly the same workout but other moves are added to get you sweating. I also liked the toning aspects of the pilates in this set. I felt like I was getting a great workout in all of these segments and yet I was relaxed at the end of everyone too.
There several other things to try out in the system that I was unfamiliar with. There’s Vinyasa Yoga which gave me great stretches. There’s also the Chi Gong which is energizing. It includes 5 Tibetans as well as Yin Yoga and Meditation. I will admit that this last things mentioned were very different for me. I am not used to doing things such as this. So, it wasn’t my favorite aspect of the workouts. I much preferred the things mentioned in the paragraph above. However, it was great to try different things and to keep boredom at bay. Overall, this is definitely a whole system that is fabulous.
