Since I have my degrees in education, I really try to post about anything that is beneficial to children. That’s why I knew I had to report to you about Aflac’s endeavor to help children with cancer. As we all know, Aflac’s character is a duck. So, they are using the Aflac duck to have the Swim with Friends project to help pediatric cancer research as well as give you the chance to win something cool. Check it out!

You can donate $12 to receive a rubber duck and an entry into the Aflac Swim with Friends virtual race. Then, every entry is a chance to win a family-friendly vacation for four to Orlando! Wow! Wouldn’t that be a great thing to win? Additionally, Aflac will match your donation and all proceeds will go directly to pediatric cancer research. So, you can help out children while trying to win something fabulous.

There’s also a couple of other ways you can get involved. For every tweet that uses #AflacKids, Aflac will donate $2 directly to pediatric cancer research. Additionally, there is a Twitter party tonight (September 6th) at 9 pm ET. Follow the hashtag #AflacKids and RSVP here. They will be giving away some great prizes during the party too. So, once again you can help children while trying to win something for yourself.

In case you are like me and didn’t know that Aflac was committed to this cause, I wanted to share a few other facts with you. Aflac has

passionately supported the fight against childhood cancer for 17 years. Over their philanthropic history, the extended Aflac family has given more than $75 million to childhood cancer through their relationship with the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
