Two years ago I did a Bob Evans Review and Giveaway where I was very pleased with food from the restaurant and I tried one of their food products for the first time. Two years later and I’m still being impressed by their food. Apparently, I’m not the only one. Recently, Bob Evans discovered that their mashed potatoes are America’s #1 selling refrigerated mashed potatoes. Since then, they have become Mad About Mashed. They are so “mad” that they are taking martini glasses and filling them with their mashed potatoes and other food toppings (versus say gin and a green olive). Thankfully, I was sent a wonderful Mad About Mashed Kit to try it out for myself.

After looking over their various suggestions and recipes, I decided to start out small and simple. The pictures above show my first Mashtini. It contains the delicious Bob Evans refrigerated mashed potatoes, slices of turkey, and cheese. It was surprisingly good. I loved the mashed potatoes, by the way. I like the little chunks of potatoes, too. The combination of cheese, meat, and potatoes was really good. Then, I wanted to try something a little more out there and exciting…

Doesn’t that look awesome? I’m pretty proud if I do say so myself. I first poured some sweet honey around the glass. Then, I placed some mashed potatoes in the glass and topped it off with some grilled chicken. Yum! This was my favorite concoction. I think the honey really makes the glass look pretty and delightful. Plus, it gave the dish an edge of sweetness that went well with the potatoes and chicken. It was delicious!

I was really impressed with the refrigerated mashed potatoes from Bob Evans. They taste great and are so easy to prepare. Plus, I am now open to trying more things with my mashed potatoes.
