You might have seen in the news that McDonald’s is going to be displaying their calorie counts now. That is great, if you ask me. I want to be able to make better decisions when I eat out. Additionally, it is the perfect time to highlight the fact that McDonald’s has several of our favorites on their menu that are under 400 calories! In fact, 80% of their national menu items are under 400 calories for the standard recipe (as of May, 2012 and does not include sauces, salad dressings, custom orders and additional condiments). If you are like me, you might be surprised by what all is on the list. Take a look at the list above.
I recently went and got the Premium Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich at McDonald’s. Let me say that I was not disppointed in the least. It is so tasty and juicy. It tastes high quality and looks fabulous. I ate it on one of my half-days as a substitute teacher so I was pretty hungry. It didn’t last too long since it was so good. I did take the tomato off because I can’t stand them. Also, mine had a bit too much mayo. However, it was still delicious with the great chicken and nice bun. I will definitely be getting this again.
In the past, I have enjoyed an Egg McMuffin and Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait. I love them both for breakfast. Both of those items are included on the Favorites Under 400 Calories chart! Yay! So, do you see your favorite listed?
