Having just graduated from college in May and being in education, I know how important it is to get a good education. I also am well aware of how much it can cost to get a degree these days. I have student loans coming due soon and I’m sort of panicking. Thankfully, I am at least on the substitute list in my county now. So, hopefully, I can start to make some money to put towards my student loan payments because I took out a pretty significant amount.

Part of the reason I had to do that was because my family didn’t have any savings to put towards my education. I love my parents but I wish they had taken a look at MetLife’s Life Advice(r) guide, “Financial Planning for College” before I went to college. Granted, I did get some Pell Grants and I applied for loads of scholarships. However, that obviously wasn’t enough. I would have loved to have won $10,000 as that would cover a great deal of my current student loans right now. Luckily, the folks at MetLife are giving parents the chance to win $10,000 to put towards their child’s education right now.

Parents can enter by visiting MetLife’s Facebook page and “liking” it. Click on the Contest tab and you’ll be able to upload your child’s headshot onto the Peanuts character of your choice. Once your photo is ready, complete and submit the online Official Entry Form. Share the newest member of the Peanuts Gang with your friends and family and invite them to vote for your photo.

The 25 most popular entries from the Baby, Little Kid, Big Kid and Teen categories will move on to the final round. Each category has its own $10,000 prize.
