Earlier this year I partnered with P&G to host a Dollar General Every Day Heroes Giveaway since Dollar General has been highlighting a new group of heroes each month. This month (September) is the month many students go back to school and summer ends. So, I think it’s fabulous that they decided to celebrate teachers and schools this month. With my degrees being in education, I can tell you how difficult yet rewarding it can be to be a teacher these days. I have met some of the greatest teachers and they truly are heroes. I am so proud that they are honoring our nation’s greatest this month.
Additionally, Dollar General is hosting a “Write to Win” sweeps right now.
Customers ages 21 and over may visit Dollar General’s website to submit a brief essay about why their school deserves to win. Three essays will be selected and the winning schools mentioned in those essays will win $10,000 each!
Wow! I know with the economy being like it is, many districts have faced budget cuts. I know many schools could really use that $10,000 right now. So, if you know of a deserving school (and I’m sure you do), then be sure to enter to help out the teachers and students of that great school.
