Pilot Pens Shoplet Review

Pilot Be Green Dry Erase Markers 300x181 Pilot Pens Shoplet Review

As you already know, I am hoarding office supplies for when I finally get a teaching job. Shoplet is helping me do this in a big way this year with their periodic mailings. I recently received a box of Pilot pens which contained several goodies that will be helpful for a teacher (or even a sub to have on hand).

One of the first things I looked at was Pilot Be Green Dry Erase Marker with its Refill for Pilot Be Green. Virtually every classroom has a dry erase whiteboard these days. So, I will more than likely need these markers for my lessons. Additionally, I will probably carry them with me as a sub just in case I need some. I like these because they are big and easy to handle. Plus, if you caught it above, they are refillable. This means they can reduce waste by 50% and it’s also made from 91% recycled materials. It makes me feel better to know that there is a green dry erase marker available since I am well aware of how many markers a teacher can use up in a year’s time. I will definitely be putting these to good use and purchasing refills for them.

I also received 4 other cool Pilot products. One of them was the Pilot FriXion Point Erasable Gel Pen. It actually uses friction to erase the ink, which is really neat. It does erase the ink, however the impression the pen made on the paper is still visible if you get a close enough look. There’s also the Pilot Frixion Lite Erasable Highlighter which contains the same thermo sensitive ink as those pens which erases with friction/pressure of the end of it on paper. It’s really neat because you can highlight a passage and then remove it without tearing the paper up. It would be great for someone renting a book and didn’t want to leave marks in it. I found that it erased more completely than the pen since it’s a highlighter and it doesn’t press onto the paper in the same way.

This brings me to my last 2 products. One of which is a classic Pilot G2 Gel Roller Ball Pen. It’s a great all-around general use pen that writes smoothly. Additionally, it has a fantastic gripper on it to make writing easy. I really enjoy using this pen. I also received the Pilot B2P Recycled Ballpoint Pen which is the world’s first pen made from recycled bottles. So, it features some of the great things I love about Pilot pens (writes smoothly and feels comfortable in my hand) while being eco-friendly. I think it’s awesome. Plus, the blue is pretty.

Overall, I was impressed with the quality and inventiveness of these products from Pilot. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

Disclosure: I received the products for free thanks to Shoplet. No compensation was received. The opinions expressed are my own.
