Plus Size Womens Flapper Costume for Halloween 2012 Review

As you may recall, I have a hard time finding costumes for me that I actually like. That’s because I don’t want to wear something that is hot, rather I want something that looks good without showing too much skin. I also need a costume in a plus size. So, that makes it even harder to find an attractive outfit. I don’t know why they think only skinny girls like to dress up. Haha! Thankfully, we have the site www.PlusSizeCostumeSuperCenter.com to help us out year-round. They carry a wide assortment of great costumes for us plus size people (including men). With Halloween coming up soon, I knew I wanted to get a new costume. I also wanted to get a certain costume because I’ve been eyeing that type for a while now. Can you guess what that is?
It’s a flapper! You know from the 1920′s? Yes, from history. I mean I do have a BA in Interdisciplinary Social Studies. Obviously, I like history. It’s just that I really like the looks of the flapper costumes. I don’t know why, I just do. However, they tend to be expensive and/or slutty. Thankfully, I found one on the site that is neither. It’s a simple black fashion flapper costume. It comes with a dress and a headpiece with a feather attached. It’s rather neat. I love that it’s black because that means I can dress it up however I want to with any piece of jewelry or shoes. I also like the simplicity of it. It’s not too over-the-top so it suits me well.
I will say that I was a little disappointed with the strings on the costume. They are a bit sparse, especially near the top. I also had one string come off just when I tried it on. So, I’m not sure how well this one will stand up over time. However, it would be great for a night out to a costume party or even to hand out candy in since it won’t scare any children or be offensive. I’m very pleased with the overall look for sure.
With Halloween quickly approaching, you may be looking for a plus size costume yourself. In that case, you will want to keep up with the plus size costumes on Facebook by liking the great Plus Size Costume Super Center on Facebook. They showcase their newest costumes for 2012 and more. So, what do you think of my new costume?
Disclosure: I received a free costume. No compensation was received. The opinions expressed are my own.

What a great costume idea! It is hard now a days to find a costume that isn’t hot and provocative. I find it outrageous what teens are wearing to trick-or-treat. Seriously!
Anyway, I think you will make a fabulous flapper this Halloween. I have yet to decide what I’m going to dress as.
