My boyfriend and I really love fruit smoothies. We’re also pretty big fans of yogurt. So, you can imagine how excited we were to try the new Yoplait Smoothie made with Greek Yogurt. Each package contains enough fruit and greek yogurt to make a 12 oz smoothie. The great thing about the use of greek yogurt (versus regular) is the added protein. Protein helps build and maintain muscle and provides a source of energy. So, you want to be sure you are getting enough of it. Each smoothie provides 10 grams of protein to help you do this. They also provide 35% daily value of vitamin C and 25% daily value of calcium.
The new greek yogurt smoothie from Yoplait is healthy as well as tasty and easy to make. To make a smoothie, you just pour the contents into a blender with some skim milk and let the blender do its job. I didn’t have to cut anything to do this or worry if I had enough fruit to do it. I love how easy it was to make. These new smoothies come in two different flavors: mixed berry and strawberry banana orange. I couldn’t find mixed berry but I would love to try it. I did get the strawberry banana orange. I don’t like orange all that much, so I was a bit over-whelmed with the orange flavor. Thankfully though, my boyfriend loves oranges. So, he really enjoyed this smoothie. He finished the whole smoothie pretty quickly actually.
One thing I did notice and like about the smoothie (besides the health benefits and ease of making) was the smoothness of it. Once it was blended, the smoothie seemed really nice and smooth. It was like I had gotten it at a store or restaurant instead from out kitchen. I thought it was nice to get something so high quality at home. I will definitely be on the lookout for the mixed berry as well as other smoothies from Yoplait now.
