I’ve said it many times and I’ll say it again: I’m a snacker. I love to munch on foods throughout the day. It’s one of the reasons I can’t lose weight and keep it off. Nonetheless, I love the opportunity to write about new snacks, especially when they are educational and healthier than many other options out there.
That’s right. Bitsy’s Brainfood is educational and healthier. They are letter shaped cookies. So, children can learn their alphabet or even make words out of them. I guess it is ok to play with your food after all.
I think that is fabulous as I have spent sometime in kindergarten and I know that many children struggle to learn to read. So, I’m all for supporting something that is educational, fun, and delicious.

Additionally, these cookies contain healthier ingredients than most cookies. They are an excellent source of Omega 3 DHA, Vitamins A, B 12, B6, D3 and Folic Acid. Plus, they are considered a good source of iron and calcium. They also don’t contain any GMO’s. So, we don’t have to worry as much about giving children these snacks since they are technically brainfood with the Omega 3-DHA which helps form brain tissue. So, it really is like feeding your brain when you eat them.
Now, I’m sure you want to know what these things taste like. Well, I was very pleased with the varieties available: Zucchini Gingerbread Carrot, Orange Chocolate Beet, Lemon Broccoli and Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin. I loved the Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin which was surprising to me because I don’t normally like sweet potatoes. They are sweet and are perfect for fall with the spices. I am happy to report that these cookies taste really good. You wouldn’t even know that they contain healthy ingredients if you didn’t read the box.
So, have you tried Bitsy’s Brainfood yet?
