Stability Ball Workout from Weight Watchers Giveaway

You should know by now that I’m up for trying most workouts. I love to mix things up to keep myself from getting bored. That’s why I was excited to try the stability ball workout from Weight Watchers. Similar to the Weight Watchers Punch! Fitness Kit I reviewed last month, this kit comes with a dvd that has 3 separate (ability-based) workouts and the equipment to do the workouts. Plus, it’s from Weight Watchers and it features Stephanie Huckabee once again. So, if you tried the other workout with her and enjoyed it, you might want to check this one out.

I had never done a stability ball workout before. So, I started out with the beginner workout just to see what it was all about. Like the other Weight Watchers workout, there are three people doing the workout and one of them does modifications for those of us who can’t keep up (thankfully). Those modifications include using the stability ball’s ring or not doing an advanced move. I spent a few weeks on beginner before moving on to intermediate. It’s harder because of the moves and because you can use weights. That helps to build more muscle and make the workout more interesting. Also, the workouts get longer as they get harder (the intermediate is 5 minutes longer than the beginner).

Following the stability ball workout from Weight Watchers can really tone you up. The moves are aimed at toning the belly, butt, and thighs. However, I think it’s really a whole-body routine. I enjoyed these workouts as they are different from anything else I’ve tried. I will say that at times I thought my ball was smaller than the one they used in the DVD. Also, it is definitely helpful to inflate the ball a day or two before you plan to use it and then put some more air into it. Nonetheless, it is a fun yet challenging workout with Stephanie.
