Do you wish you could break up with your makeup? Do you suffer from rosacea? If so, I may know something that can help you out.
Disclosure: I received a free Cetaphil prize package from Galderma Laboratories, L.P., who is also providing the winner’s package.
Break Up with Your Makeup
You may recall the rosacea treatment post I did last year featuring Galderma Laboratories L.P. I’m happy to say that once again, they are doing their Break Up with Your Makeup campaign to encourage people dealing with rosacea to come out and celebrate their own beauty.
In case you need a reminder, rosacea is a common inflammatory and vascular disorder affecting the face. Redness, visible blood vessels, bumps and pimples typically appear in the middle of the face (forehead, nose, cheeks) after age 30 in men and women. It is estimated to affect 16MM Americans.
Break Up with Your Makeup aims to educate women so they feel empowered in their own skin. According to the results of a new national survey*, the impacts of rosacea go more than skin deep, with half of sufferers saying they feel unattractive, as well as embarrassed (42%) and less confident (30%).
*This survey, fielded among 500+ U.S. rosacea patients and 300 U.S. dermatologists, was developed by the National Rosacea Society (NRS) and Galderma Laboratories, L.P.
This year, Galderma Laboratories, L.P. is inviting people with rosacea– or those who think they might have the condition– to share a #nomakeup selfie of themselves and tell others how they stay confident even on “tough skin days.” To enter, you simply upload your image and story via the form below for the chance to win an all-expense paid trip for two to NYC for the New York Film Festival this fall. Submissions must be done by June 24, which will be voted on during a sweepstakes from July 27 – Aug. 14. People who vote on the submissions, during the sweepstakes, will also have the chance to win additional prizes. Winners will be contacted in August.
