My Last Nutriystem Post #NSNation

Gosh! Where does the time go??? I can’t believe I have been on Nutrisystem for four months now. Nutrisystem was one of the brands I had been wanting to work with for some time and it was such an exciting thing to be chosen to work with them. I still can’t believe I had this wonderful opportunity.

It was a hectic, stressful four months for me. However, that definitely was not because of the diet. If anything, Nutrisystem helped me survive the last four months of craziness. For that, I am grateful. Now, it’s time to end this journey with Nutrisystem. However, that doesn’t mean I am going back to my old ways of eating poorly and not working out. If anything, this makes me want to try harder.

I thought I’d give a final weigh-in…

 My Last Nutriystem Post #NSNation

Yep! I lost 10 pounds on Nutrisystem! Yay! Go me! icon biggrin My Last Nutriystem Post #NSNation Granted, I know most people lose more than that in four months. However, I had been trying to be healthier for months prior to starting the diet. So, I think that’s what made my weight loss slower. Either way, I’m happy with the end results and I’m thankful for the opportunity. So, thank you, Nutrisystem!

What Im Going To Miss About Nutrisystem #NSNation

Nutrisystem SUCCESS Logo 300x34 What Im Going To Miss About Nutrisystem #NSNation

I can’t believe this is my second to last post for Nutrisystem. Over the past few months, I have gotten so used to eating the foods. I mean they work right in with my hectic schedule. As a college student living in a dorm, it helped me fix quick meals so I could keep studying or working on that paper. Now, as a student teacher living with my parents, it gives me an alternative to my mom’s (unhealthy) cooking. The foods have helped me transition to living with my parents again.

The past few months have been really chaotic for me. I mean between moving back home and student teaching, I’ve never felt so exhausted in my life. It’s been hard to fit in a few workouts each week. However, it’s been really great to have this food with me through it all. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I run of it. I mean I have gotten so used to eating it for breakfast (love those protein drinks) and packing it for my lunch. I also love their desserts. I guess it will be another change I will have to get used to when I come off of the diet next week.

I think I’m going to miss the foods and convenience the most. I love being able to just open a package up or heating something up to eat and continuing on with my schedule. I will have to start looking for quick, yet healthy foods to begin eating soon. In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy eating the rest of the food I have on hand.

Nutrisystem Success Protein Drinks Vlog Review #NSNation

I previously mentioned my concerns before trying them and then stated how I like the new Nutrisystem Success Protein Drinks. So, I thought I would do my final video for Nutrisystem on them.

I love how easy they are to make and they go great with breakfast! I’m a huge fan of the coffee since you are supposed to drink it in the morning. Then, I like the chocolate and strawberry, too. I don’t care for the vanilla though. Overall, they are great additions to the Nutrisystem line of foods.

Thirteen Weeks on Nutrisystem #NSNation

Nutrisystem SUCCESS Logo 300x34 Thirteen Weeks on Nutrisystem #NSNation

May I just say that the weeks on Nutrisystem are going by so quickly! Wow! Can you believe I have only a few more weeks on it? I can’t. I feel like I just started it in lots of ways. Although, I guess that’s a good thing as it means I’m not bored with the program. I mean there are several options for food with them. I’m definitely enjoying my last few favorites I have. I mean that frosted donut for breakfast is delicious! I am also enjoying all of the pizza I’m getting to eat. icon biggrin Thirteen Weeks on Nutrisystem #NSNation

Not only am I pleased with the foods from Nutrisystem, but I am really happy with the convenience of it. For the past two weeks, I have been going to campus for classes or “student teacher boot camp” before going into the class tomorrow. We have had about an hour for lunch. So, I’ve had to eat there on campus. I have been thankful to have my Nutrisystem lunches with me to eat. I can also rest assured that I will have something to eat for lunch when I start actually student teaching tomorrow.

I also have seminars on Monday nights. That means I won’t get back to my house until 7 pm or so. I am very much looking forward to being able to grab something from the freezer or the shelf and simply heat it up. That does relieve some of the stress associated with Mondays since I can just grab a dinner. Plus, I will probably be relying on their snacks to help me get through the day from lunch (which is at 11:10 am for my kindergarten placement) until dinner at 7 pm.

The breakfasts are good, too. I mean I’m not a fan of early mornings. So, this getting up at 6 am has been an adjustment for me, to say the least. Thankfully, I’ve had this food to help me get going. I’ve really taken to eating a Nutrisystem breakfast food along with a protein drink. It’s definitely a good combination that is quick and tasty.

See, this is why it’s so easy to stick to the program. I mean there are lots of options and everything is quick and painless to make. icon biggrin Thirteen Weeks on Nutrisystem #NSNation

Nutrisystem Success Video Review #NSNation

Nutrisystem SUCCESS Logo 300x34 Nutrisystem Success Video Review #NSNation

The past month, I’ve been trying out some of the new things from Nutrisystem Success. So, I created another video to show you the changes in the packaging of the foods as well as to introduce you to some of the new foods from Nutrisystem. I will admit that I messed up the video and said Select. However, Select is the old version of Nutrisystem. This is for Success. So, please ignore me when I say Select or it says it. icon biggrin Nutrisystem Success Video Review #NSNation

Have you tried the newer foods from Nutrisystem? What do you think of the changes they made?

Eleventh Week Nutrisystem #NSNation Update

Nutrisystem SUCCESS Logo 300x34 Eleventh Week Nutrisystem #NSNation Update

Well, it’s time for my weekly Nutrisystem update. I had reported that during the holidays I gained a few pounds. However, in recent weeks I have been trying to get back on track. I mean it is definitely difficult to do that since I am now living at home with my parents. My mom fixes dinner for her and dad. Then, she usually gets upset if I don’t eat something she made. So, I’m trying to eat my Nutrisystem meals and then eat any of the vegetables or fruits she might serve. However, she rarely makes a balanced meal and it makes it hard to select a “healthy” item from what she fixes. Plus, up until Monday I was home almost all day enjoying break. This often meant I craved a snack to munch on.

I have done a better job of drinking more water though. I am keeping a bottle or cup of water near me at all times now. I take a swig of it whenever I get the urge. That has been helping with the snack craving I believe. I have also been trying harder to get my workouts in. I have managed to workout at least a few times a week for the past two weeks. That has also helped me keep from gaining more weight while being at home on break.

I’m happy to report that I’ve lost another pound! Woot! That means I’ve lost 6 pounds with Nutrisystem now. icon biggrin Eleventh Week Nutrisystem #NSNation Update

Ten Weeks on Nutrisystem #NSNation

Nutrisystem SUCCESS Logo 300x34 Ten Weeks on Nutrisystem #NSNation

Wow! It’s already 2012 and I’ve been on Nutrisystem for ten weeks now! Time sure is flying by. That being said, I thought I would talk about something a little different in this week’s post for it. I think that when I first started trying to get healthier, I mentioned that I was trying to avoid future health issues and get healthier in general. So, I figured I would talk about that.

I believe I have mentioned it several times on here that my dad is and has been in bad health for years now. So, there are an array of health problems I am always on the lookout for (diabetes, eye sight problems, kidney failure, etc.). Thankfully, I have been able to avoid those things. However, I have had hypertension and have been on high blood pressure medication since I was 16. I even have an accelerated heart rate. It is because of these issues and my genes that I have to go to my general doctor every 6 months or so. My doctor likes to check up on my heart rate, blood pressure, etc in case we need to change my medication or something.

I make my appointments when I am on break for college. So, I went for my checkup last week. Upon arrival, one of the first things the nurse does is weigh me. This time, the nurse pointed out that I had lost 9 pounds since my last doctor visit! Then, she proceeded to tell me that she was going to note this in my file. Now, it’s important to point out that this nurse had never met me before as she is somewhat new there. Nonetheless, she then asked me if I was there for a checkup on my weight! :O I wasn’t sure if I should be happy that she was so impressed with my weight loss or upset because she assumed that my doctor had me on a weight loss regime. Either way, I told her that it was my blood pressure and to get a refill on my pills. Next, she informed me that nine pound loss should change my BMI. She couldn’t get the computer to work right or tell me what it changed to (or from). However, the nurse did seem pretty pleased with my weight change. Plus, when she checked my blood pressure, it was 114/70-something that I can’t remember!

My doctor did inquire about the weight loss and congratulated me on it. Then, she told me something she had never said before. You see, that blood pressure reading was actually in the “desirable” range and was significantly lower than it has been. Also, my heart rate was doing pretty good. So, she said that if I was able to lose some more weight and keep my stress down (somewhat of an unlikely thing), that it might be possible to get me off of my medication! Granted, she said it might not be possible either. However, the fact that she was so impressed with the weight loss and reading made my day.

I have Nutrisystem to think for some of that weight loss (around 5 pounds). So, I think it’s important to pay attention to the benefits or gains I’ve received from this wonderful journey, and not just the scale. icon biggrin Ten Weeks on Nutrisystem #NSNation

Ninth Week Update #NSNation

nutrisystem logo Ninth Week Update #NSNation

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend. The past few weeks have been hard on my diet. I mean I had to deal with finals and final projects, then I had to move back home at the end of the semester. Then, I’ve been on break and had Christmas. This included many treats I don’t normally eat. I tend to eat the most and the worst on my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. As chance would have it, I’ve been on and posting for Nutrisystem during three of those four things now. Haha!

I’ve been trying to workout at least 2-3 times a week again, even if I couldn’t eat the right foods. I can say that those workouts have been very effective. I have felt the workout the next day and even two days later (watch out for upcoming reviews of these workouts). However, my intake of foods has been more than that. icon sad Ninth Week Update #NSNation

I haven’t gained that much weight in two weeks, really. However, it was 1.1 pounds! Now that Christmas is over, I’m hoping to get back to the correct foods. I realize New Year’s is coming up and I probably will be at my boyfriend’s house for most of this weekend. So, I’m going to get my workouts in for the week before I go and I will try to watch what I eat. Once it’s the new year, I sincerely hope to do much better.

So, these aren’t the results I wanted to publish. However, I’m trying not to get too down as it is from two weeks total and that includes Christmas (where I had two family meals to attend).

Nutrisystem Success Chef Table Dinners Review #NSNation

nutrisystem logo Nutrisystem Success Chef Table Dinners Review #NSNation

This past week, Nutrisystem made some big announcements, including the addition of several new foods. This means they are transitioning to a new program called SUCCESS. It features 7 new dinners under the line of Chef’s Table which have been developed by a team of chefs. They are supposed to be better and tastier. I recently got to sample three of these new dishes in a video. Check it out!

Hehe! I never enjoy hearing myself on video. So, have tried these new dishes yet? What do you think of the new Nutrisystem foods?

Busy Week with #NSNation

nutrisystem logo Busy Week with #NSNation

This past week was full of “stuff”. I mean stuff to do, get done, etc. The last day of classes for the semester was Wednesday and finals started Friday. I had to turn in all of my stuff for my practicum (portfolio, work done, research paper) as well as a history research paper on Monday. That night I had to attend an education department required etiquette dinner (where I obviously was unable to eat just Nutrisystem foods). I had a large lesson plan unit due on Tuesday. I had a final on Friday morning and I have another one later today.

I am also in the process of moving out of my dorm. I am going to be living at home for the spring semester. I have also had to do various things in order to student teach next semester. Needless to say, it was an extremely busy week. As such, I didn’t get to workout like I had hoped to. So, I wasn’t sure what the scale would say this week. I’m actually really proud of the results as I didn’t do nearly as much nervous grazing as I usually do towards the end of the semester.

I managed to lose half of a pound this past week! Granted, that’s not a whole pound. However, I think it’s a good sign since it’s probably the first semester where I haven’t gained weight towards the end of it. I will officially be done with this semester and moving home on Tuesday. So, let’s hope I can keep this up.
