Wow! Is it just me or is time flying by? I can’t believe April has come and gone. It was a fabulous month, here at Laughing Lindsay. We had several fantastic giveaways (which made for some happy April winners) and some good recipes. I even got to experience snow in April last month. May should be an exciting month as I’m heading to the beach for the first time with my mom. Plus, I already have some good posts lined up. So, keep reading to enter some amazing giveaways.

Well, March was certainly a fun month. We had St. Patrick’s Day and Easter during that month as well as the return of spring. I also had a couple unexpected (but completely welcomed) snow days in spring (it was pretty great). I also participated in the 31 Day Blog Challenge with Fabulous Finds by Tiffany where I tried to allow you to get to know me better. I also did some work for Shot@Life in real life during March by speaking at a women’s conference in West Virginia. Overall, I’d definitely say it was a good month. I can’t believe we already into April (the fourth month of the year and second quarter). Time is really flying by these days. Before you know it, it’ll be the holidays again. March was actually the first full month that I’ve worked (minus the snowdays) since dad passed away. So, it was interesting. April appears to be off to a good start. The last day at my long-term position was on Friday and now I’ll be back working in my hometown. So, here’s to another great month.

Congrats again to the March Winners. Oh, and if you didn’t win, then keep entering my giveaways because I have several good ones going on and a couple other fun ones planned for the very near future.

You may have noticed a lack of winner announcement posts. That’s because one of the changes I’ve decided to make is the frequency in which I do this. Instead of doing a weekly (and extremely short) post, I’m moving to a monthly (and hopefully longer) post of winners. After doing some reading, studying of my site, and updating old posts for the most recent Google PR update, I realized that those short posts could hurt me. Google doesn’t like really short posts. Therefore, those old posts had to be put as noindex and I hate the thought of wasting a post every single Sunday.

Doing a once per month post is also helpful in other ways for me. It frees up my calendar, so I can post whatever I want on Sundays (versus feeling obligated to post about the winners). It also gives me more time to track down winners before doing a post. This means I don’t feel as stressed to get a winner’s info for the post. I can take my time closing giveaways and I actually have the time to track down winners now. Overall, I think this new way will be beneficial to me (and hopefully the blog). So, what do you think of the idea? Are you totally against this idea or ok with it?
