You already know that I’m a big supporter of family movie night on tv. Naturally, I was excited that another one was quickly approaching! This Saturday (June 11th) at 8 pm EST on NBC, the family-friendly movie, Field of Vision will premiere! It’s brought to tv by Wal-Mart and P&G, like previous Family Movie Night films. This one stars Faith Ford, who is really nice I discovered in an early online screening/chat of the movie!
This movie has an interesting story line that I found to be very touching, since a majority of it takes place at school. It portrays a transfer student being bullied by the football team, which broke my heart. I hope that when I’m a teacher, I can reach out and help my students like Judy (Faith’s character) does. Here is the trailer for the movie, so you can get a more clear idea about the cool plot of the movie.
I thought the whole video camera thing was awesome! In case you couldn’t get the video to play or something, here is the synopsis of the movie.
Through mysterious footage captured on an old malfunctioning video camera, Sinclair High School’s star quarterback, Tyler McFarland, learns that some of his teammates have been bullying Cory Walker, a troubled new transfer student. Aware that sharing this information with the coach might get his friends kicked off the team and ultimately cost the school the state championship, Tyler must choose what’s more important: winning or doing what’s right.
As these events unfold, the camera also reveals more surprising footage to Tyler’s kid sister Lucy… She learns that Cory has a secret past, unknown even to him. Now Lucy must convince her mom (Faith Ford, Murphy Brown) and family that the camera’s revealing insight is not a product of her imagination as she enlists their help to find the answers Cory so desperately needs. It’s a compelling and intriguing story that shows both the challenges and rewards of doing the right thing even when it’s tough to do.
