I love when I receive a random surprise package in the mail, especially when it contains ways to have fun with cereal. You might not know it, but I love to eat cereal for more than just breakfast. That’s why I think this package I received for free was perfect for me. Look what all they sent!
Fun with Cereal
As you can see, I received several things. First off, let’s address all of the cereal. General Mills is introducing a couple of new cereals. There’s gluten-free Vanilla Chex, Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme, and Nature Valley Protein Granola. When I first posted a picture of this package, a friend commented on the Vanilla Chex. However, they had never tried it before. I’m happy to report that it is very tasty. I actually posted a later picture showing a bowl (using the new Obol they sent me) of it for dessert. I also ate a bowl of it for breakfast one morning. It’s actually a pretty universal cereal.
Then, I took the two Nature Valley cereals to my boyfriend’s house as it seemed like something he would like. However, he didn’t have the milk I prefer. So, we came up with putting some on vanilla ice cream. We used the Oats ‘n Dark Chocolate one and it was great. The cereal added a new layer of flavor and crunch to the ice cream. I had never used cereal with ice cream before, but it was really good and I wouldn’t mind doing it again.
I also jumped right into trying the Hershey’s cereal. I loved it! Then again, I’m a huge fan of Hershey’s chocolate. So, I had no doubt that I would like this cereal. The chocolate is true Hershey chocolate in flavor while the creme goes well with it. I prefer to eat this at night while I’m watching tv. It’s perfect for a late night snack.
In my final fun with cereal package mention, I’d like to point out the Minions from Despicable Me 2 in the front of the top picture. They are there because General Mills is also going to be including them in some of their popular cereals. So, you can pick up your (or your child’s) favorite cereal at the store and get some fun for later. The little toys would be great for kids to imagine play with. Adults could have fun collecting them all.
So, are you convinced you can have fun with cereal? How do you like to enjoy your cereal? Have you tried any of these new cereals?
Disclosure: I received the package for free.
