You may or may not know that I really like chocolate milk. I’ve always enjoyed milk (chocolate or plain) because of my mom. She’s always encouraged me to drink milk and we always have a gallon of it in our refrigerator. That’s why I was so happy to sample the new Ready-to-Serve Chocolate Milk from TruMoo for free.
Ready-to-Serve Chocolate Milk
TruMoo reformulated their ready-to-serve chocolate milk this winter. Now, it contains 35% less total sugar than the leading chocolate milk competitor and 40% less sugar added than the previous formulation. Yay for that. Plus, it has no high fructose corn syrup. All of these things make me happy because after being pitched for this product, I noticed that the school I was long-term subbing at served this at breakfast and lunch to the kids. I’m glad to know that it has less sugar because we all know kids get enough of that already. Additionally, since that school is a Title I school, I know that many kids depend on that nutritious school lunch (and/or breakfast) to get their key nutrients. So, I’m pleased to know that it also has eight essential nutrients: calcium, protein, vitamins A, D and B12, riboflavin, phosphorus and potassium.
By now, you probably get that this ready-to-serve chocolate milk is healthier for you than other brands (or drinks). However, I’m sure you want to know if it still tastes good and if kids actually drink it. Well, I can honestly say I really like it. I got a half gallon of it at the local grocery store on a Friday night. I think my boyfrined had a glass of it. Then, I finished it late Saturday night. It didn’t even last me a full weekend. It was delicious and chocolatey. Oh, and I know that kids enjoy it because most of them get it at school (versus plain milk) and there’s hardly ever any leftover in the carton.
So, will you be picking up a package of this ready-to-serve chocolate milk from TruMoo in your local grocer’s dairy aisle?
