Since I am working as a substitute teacher, I am on my feet most of the day. I walk around the classroom to keep students on task as well as to answer questions. I also have to look nice. It’s very hard to find Women’s Dress shoes in my size that are comfortable. I prefer my shoes to be black so that I don’t have to worry about them matching my outfit or pants. I also usually have to get a wide size because my feet are big (typically a 10 wide). The combination of these things makes it extremely difficult to find an affordable pair. However, thanks to Shoes for Crews, I was recently able to do that.
Shoes for Crews make Women’s Slip Resistant Footwear that are perfect for the classroom. Actually, when my mom first noticed the box from Shoes for Crews in the living room floor, she wanted to know who got new shoes. That’s because she (unbeknownst to me) orders her shoes for work at a fast food restaurant from them. She already knew how great their shoes were and that made me even more excited to try them out.
I initially picked this pair out because of their looks. I tend to wear shoes that cover the entire top of my foot so I don’t have to worry about my socks being exposed. I also like ones that don’t have a fancy design on them as I just need something simple to match every outfit. I guess I’m a minimalist in that regard. So, I was very happy with the appearance of these shoes. They are black, sleek, and feminine.
Next, I set out to actually wear them. They fit great with a pair of socks. However, they are a little too loose if I wear pantyhose with them (I wear socks more often than not). The insoles on my shoes are so soft and comfortable. My feet don’t hurt at the end of a long day on my feet when I wear these shoes. I also appreciate the fact that these shoes do keep me from slipping and falling while walking around the room or down the hall.
Overall, these shoes are fabulous. I would definitely like to get another pair of shoes from them. They are reasonably priced, comfortable, stylish, and slip resistant. They are certainly perfect for (substitute) teachers for all of those reasons. You can browse their site to see all of their wonderful stock of shoes as well as keep up with them on Facebook or Twitter.
