It’s been a while since my last Carmex Giveaway. However, Carmex has the perfect selection of lip balms just in time for summer, including a new one! As you already know, Carmex is a great brand for skincare and lip care products. Their stuff makes my skin and lips feel smooth and soft. They keep me moisturized. So, it’s great that they make lip balms with SPF in them to protect our lips during the summer months.

Just in the time for summer and traveling, Carmex sent me a great package (pictured above). It contains a large yellow beach bag which is perfect for day trips. It can fit a towel and probably a change of clothes along with some other stuff. Plus, the handles are very summer looking. It even has a pouch which can hold my Carmex lip balms.

In addition to the bag, the package had several Carmex lip balms. One of them was their newest addition – Pomegranate! Since it’s a juicy fruit, it’s perfect for use during the summer months. It smells delicious. It puts me in a good, relaxing mood. Plus, it moisturizes my lips nicely. Overall, it’s another great lip balm from Carmex. A little over a year ago, I hosted a Carmex Giveaway. I’ve done a couple others since then. However, in that one I introduced you to the Carmex lotion and cream. They have been available at CVS and Walgreens, but have been newly added at Wal-mart.

Like I said last year, both products are wonderful. The lotion isn’t nearly as thick as the cream. However, it is still much creamier than some lotions I’ve tried (which were essentially the consistency of water). Both have a light and nice scent. They both last a long while. They even keep my hands moisturized thru several hand washes.

The lotion is great for this time of the year. I mean it’s not wintery cold yet (here). So, I can use the lotion daily for my moisturization needs. Then, the cream can be used for the driest skin I have (think feet). Granted, you can definitely use the cream now. I just think you need a creamier moisturizer for winter, so it makes sense to me that the lotion should be used now and cream for feet and/or later.

Plus, they now come in multiple sizes of bottles. In the kit I received for the review, there were two sizes of each kind. The bigger bottles are wonderful for my dorm room or at the house, you know a daily application thing. Then, the smaller bottles are perfect for carrying around in my purse or backpack. It seems that everyone enjoyed my last Carmex Giveaway. So, I’m glad to do another a review and giveaway with Carmex. This time, it’s for the Carmex Moisture Plus Sheer Tint Lip Balms. I received both of the shades for this review – the Sheer Pink and Sheer Peach. Both of these lip balms work well. They keep my lips moisturized. Plus, they have a nice sheer tint to them. I can’t decide if I like the pink or peach more. Since they are sheer, they give my lips just a touch of color.

I like the packaging of the lip balms. The packaging is pretty and cool. I also like the applicator of the lip balms, you simply twist it up and apply. The lip balm lasts for a pretty good while, too. I can put it on and my lips still feel moisturized hours later.

With the cold weather here, these lip balms will come in handy, I’m sure. Overall, they are great for those of us who like to have moisturized lips, but don’t like to wear bright shades of color. Although, since it is sheer, I suppose you could wear it under your favorite lip stick or gloss.

I’m happy to announce that I’m a part of Carmex’s Blog Squad!  Being a member means that I get to do reviews and giveaways with Carmex!  Yay!  How great is that?  Recently, I received the adorable makeup bag pictured above branded with the Carmex logo.  This handy makeup bag is packed with some great Carmex skin and lip products.  I’m going to review 2 of them!

The first product I tried was Carmex’s new Healing Lotion!  This product is great now that the colder months are upon us and dry skin is not far behind.  This lotion is non-greasy and absorbs quickly.  It contains aloe and vitmain E!  Woot!  It has a light, airy scent that it not too strong.  Plus, it instantly makes my skin feel smooth and more moisturized. 

I also tried Carmex’s new Healing Cream.  This is similar to the lotion, except that it’s a thicker consistency that is just great for dry hands, feet, or elbows.  I really like this product’s scent.  It’s a bit sweeter smelling than the lotion (not sickingly so).  It also does a great job on healing dry, rough skin.  I think this will come in handy for my hands this winter since they tend to get dry easily in the cold.

Both bottles have cute, attractive packaging that fits well with the Carmex brand.  Both products sell for $5.99 and you can find them at Walgreens or online.

The entire package I received from Carmex is wonderful.  The makeup bag reminds me of a locker thing I used to have in high school because it has hanger on it and a mirror that detaches when necessary (so you can always look your best).  This package contained the skin care products from Carmex and a great assortment of Carmex lip products. So, for the extra exciting part for my lovely readers…
