I really enjoyed the Peaceable Kingdom Valentines Giveaway I did earlier this year. So, imagine how happy I was to set up a Cupcake Stickers Giveaway from Peaceable Kingdom! They actually offer many cupcake themed items, all of which are very cute!

One of the items I received I was their Cupcake Craze Itsy Bitsy Stickers pack. It includes 80 small cupcake stickers. I feel like these are perfect for future papers I grade because of their size. I was very impressed by how great of a deal this pack is as it’s only $1! Wow!

Then, I also got their Glitter Cupcake Cards which remind me of their awesome valentines. It comes with 6 cards (2 each of 3 different cupcakes) and 6 envelopes. Plus, it comes with stickers to decorate the cards and envelopes! This is a fun kit! Plus, it’s only $4.99! So much cuteness for such a low price!

I also got a wonderful package of Vanilla Scratch and Sniff Cupcake Stickers! Wow! These things smell yummy! They are the perfect for brightening up my day. They would also be wonderful to attach to an envelope when you mail a card. I could see these stickers making someone who is sick feel at least a little better. Oh, and they cost only $2.00 for 44 stickers!

Lastly, but certainly not least, I received a Sweet Shoppe Sticker Pack. This thing is seriously so much fun, even for me! You see, it comes with 2 fun foldout scenes and stickers to decorate them. One scene is a bakery and the other is just desserts. So, you can position the people or goods in the bakery and decorate the desserts. The stickers aren’t typical stickers as you can peel them up and re-position them. Here are my finished scenes.

I’ve got a great final giveaway for the cupcake event. It’s a cupcake book with attitude! It’s the Who You Callin Cupcake? book and it’s written by Michelle Garcia and Vinnie Garcia who work at the Bleeding Heart Bakery in Chicago!

The book starts with some basic cake and frosting recipes which you can use to make various combinations. The authors also urge you to use them to help you come up with your own ideas. They say that these recipes are great for adaptations. They say that the key to cupcake success is simplicity in recipes. I think that’s a wonderful idea!

Then, it has several different sections of different cupcakes. It even has a whole portion on cupcakes that those of us who are 21 years of age or older might enjoy, such as strawberry daiquiri and sangria! Yummy! Those would have been perfect for my 21st birthday last year! There’s even a section on candy and one with just chocolate deliciousness! All of the recipes look simply tasty! From the Elvis, Thanksgiving, and the Slash – these cupcakes are punk and yummy! It’s a cupcake book of a different kind!

For my cupcake event, I received the Big Book of Cupcakes presented by Southern Living! This book is awesome! It’s got so many great cupcake things in it! I hardly know where to begin!

Let’s start with the fact that it’s packed with over 150 recipes! This book is one of the thickest cupcakes books I own. It’s actually 256 pages long! Wow! One of the best parts of the book that makes it so long are the pictures! There’s a picture for every recipe mentioned! Looking through just a couple of pages makes my mouth water! Gahh! It seriously makes me want a cupcake so bad! Every single one of the cupcakes (even the lemon ones) look delicious!

The book begins with an introduction about the author, Jan Moon. Then, she gives some very handy general (yet detailed) information about baking cupcakes. It seriously would allow even a cupcake baking novice to get started. Then, the recipes are arranged by season! How wonderful of an idea is that? So, you can pull out a recipe to use a seasonal fruit if you want to!

Then, each recipe contains a baker’s secret and/or flip it! A baker’s secret is a tip about making that cupcake that you might not know, but is really good to know. I LOVE the flip it! It offers another idea for the cake recipe. One of my favorite examples is the Wedding Cupcake flipped into a Sweet Proposal! It takes a typical (yet gorgeous) wedding cupcake and allows someone to use the recipe to make a cupcake to be used for proposing! Aww! How nice!

I don’t know why I was so surprised with the quality of this book. I mean it is presented by Southern Living, which is known for their fabulous recipes and books! They managed to make another one. Jan Moon is a genius, as well. The cupcakes pictured are some of the best ones I’ve ever seen, honestly. They are simply beautiful. If this book doesn’t make you want a cupcake immediately, then nothing will.

As you know, I think everyone should be able to enjoy cupcakes, regardless of dietary restrictions. I also like baking to be explained in an easy to understand way. The Complete Idiot’s Guide brand of books is known for their simple instructions and helpful tips.

A new guide came out in April. It is called The Guide to Vegan Baking by Donna Diegel. It has 120 recipes for breads, cookies, and all sorts of baked goods. This includes cakes and cupcake recipes! There are several cake recipes which can be used to bake cupcakes. Then, there are four vegan gourmet cupcake recipes! This includes vanilla bean, black bottom, chocolate-chip banana, and confetti cupcakes! Don’t those sound wonderful? Plus, they are all vegan!

There’s also a chapter on vegan frosting and a chapter on topping and fillings. This book is great for anyone who is a vegan and enjoys baking or someone who wants to try a new recipe just for fun. I appreciate the beginning of the book which discusses the benefits going vegan, some good substitutions in recipes, and more. Plus, the book is full of tips throughout the book. Overall, it’s a very nice and handy book.

I’ve got another wonderful cupcake giveaway for you! This one is from Cupcake Cuties! With Cupcake Cuties, you can make ordinary cupcakes extraordinary! You simply take an already frosted cupcake and make it cute! Each Cupcake Cuties kit comes with cupcake wrappers and decorations to transform your cupcakes. There are countless themes for the kits, from foods to holidays and seasonal.

I received the Ice Cream Cone Cupcake Kit. It came with adorable wrappers that look like an ice cream cone and say “ice cream” on them. You simply wrap the paper around a cupcake and use the sticky tape on the paper to make it stick! In the picture above, I made a cupcake and put a wrapper on it. The kit does come with a bag to allow you to put some pretty frosting on it. However, I just put some glaze on it which resembles chocolate syrup. The kit also comes some sprinkles, which I also didn’t use on this one.

I think the kit makes some adorable cupcakes, just in time for summer. Plus, the other designs make cupcakes perfect for everyday of the year. The kits are easy to use, as well. Overall, it’s a very fun and unique kit.

So, what if I told you there was an entire Zombie Cupcakes book? Well, I hope you’d be excited because that’s exactly what I found! Zilly Rosen wrote a book full of ideas for baking zombie cupcakes! They are perfect for the zombie-craze that was around last year or Halloween parties or just for fun!

I like the way the book is set up. It’s such a fun book. For starters, it has random zombie fact questions throughout and the answers in the back of the book. It has questions on zombie movies and games

The book starts out with recipes for making frostings and top decorations. Then, the book has recipes for making the actual cake portion. So, you can mix and match them if you want to. Each cupcake recipe also has a step-by-step guide for making the zombies decorations. The book makes everything seem so fun and easy. I also like the book’s guide to the ease of each recipe. It can have 1 skull for easy up to 3 skulls! The ideas in this book are really cool. It has brain cupcakes and eyes popping out cupcakes. Haha!

I think the recipes could be used for more than just zombie cupcakes. You could use it to help you come up with ideas for other cupcakes. I mean doesn’t a blue banana cupcake with some buttercream frosting sound great?

So, if you are in need of some new ideas for cupcakes, give it a look.

Viva la Vera Bradley

I’m sure you’ve heard of Vera Bradley for the wonderful bags and accessories. The designs are simply beautiful and interesting. Did you know there’s even a cupcake pattern? While I didn’t receive any of the cupcake patterned items to review, I did receive two items from the beach and straw Vera Bradley collection. Yay!

I received the Viva la Vera Hobo bag. It is pictured above. Isn’t it simply stunning? It has the criss-cross of pattern across the straw. It’s actually a very roomy bag. I’ve been using it to carry my stuff for my summer class. It’s the perfect size for my textbook, a notebook, some pencils, my keys, id holder (which is also Vera Bradley), and my iPod Touch with room left over. I attempted to show you how big the inside is in the bottom left picture. I also like the snap closure (pictured on the bottom right). The strap is actually the perfect length. It hangs right about my hip, which is great. I also like that the strap is soft and doesn’t rub my shoulder. I also like the little touches on the bag. I like the bamboo rings which the strap goes around. I was also in love with the insider zipper. Look at it…

Isn’t that nice? I love that is has the name on it. The insider zipper portion is pretty roomy, too. I also like the outside pocket which is equally roomy.

The other item I received was the Viva la Vera Beach Towel. This towel is beautiful! I love the wonderful and bright colors of it. It’s the perfect towel for the beach or pool. It’s the perfect summer towel. I also LOVE the size of it. It’s got some great length to it, perfect for laying out on it. See how pretty and big it is…

Isn’t it so cute? I think the entire line is so fun. It’s a wonderful summer time line with all of the bright colors and designs.

For the cupcake event, I tried to find as many different cupcake books at possible. One of the more unique ones I found was Gluten-Free Cupcakes by Elana Amsterdam. What makes this one different is that it contains 50 recipes that are made with almond and coconut flour. This means they are gluten-free, which is great for people with a gluten allergy or have celiac disease. Yay! I’m all for great cupcakes for everyone!

The book has classic cupcake recipes (like vanilla and chocolate), fruity cupcakes, and special occasion cupcakes. Then, it has recipes for the frostings. So, it makes it really easy to mix and match cupcakes with frostings. There are also recipes for gluten-free muffins. I like how the book begins with tips on using the equipment for baking gluten-free. It also provides details on the ingredients used.

This is definitely a wonderful book. I must admit, I was surprised by all of the options and flavors available in the book. Elana really did her homework with this book. It’s got a cupcake for everyone. Some of the recipes are even vegan and dairy-free. So, she helps people with all sorts of dietary restrictions enjoy cupcakes – something I can support.

Cupcake Gift Tags

For the cupcake event, I was glad to find so many different products with cupcakes on them. One of the many new to me brands with a cupcake item is Move Over Cards. Move Over Cards makes adorable gift tags. They cut back on waste because there isn’t an envelope to throw away and the tags are small enough to be used again for a bookmark or ornament. MOC makes several different varieties of cards, from holiday tags to birthday and thank you. All of them feature wonderful designs.

I received the 2 cupcake gift tags pictured above. Aren’t they too cute? I love that there is a picture of a cupcake on both sides of the card. It also came with a ribbon which can be used to tie the card to a present. You can order a bracelet to attach one to a bottle. I was surprised by how thick the tag is. It’s more of a card type material. It’s really high quality and pretty. I also like that there is a message printed on the front, in case the person doesn’t know what the present is for. They really could replace the typical card.

When you place an order, you get 6 (instead of just 2) cards. You also receive a coordinating ribbon or bracelet for each already attached to the card. I think the MOC tags are a great idea and simply wonderful.

Cupcake Liners and Stationery

For the cupcake event, I received the most wonderful assortment of cupcake liners and stationery from Chronicle Books. Did you know that Chronicle Books produces more than just books? They actually make many awesome products!

One of those products is the Pretty Cupcake Kit which comes with 200 cupcake liners, 34 flag toppers, and a wonderful booklet. There are two different sizes of liners in this box. The smaller ones work perfectly for the mini cupcake maker I reviewed. The bigger ones work perfectly for regular cupcakes. The booklet has some handy information in it. However, the main attraction for me was the liners. Some of the liners are seen in the bottom picture above. Aren’t they gorgeous?

I also received the Cath Kidston Cupcake Liners with 100 liners in 4 designs in the usual size. These liners are beautiful, too. The top picture above is one of the wrappers I used. Doesn’t it look so nice and yummy? The box these liners came in was just pretty. Everything is so beautiful. I love the designs. I almost feel bad using them.

I was also lucky enough to receive the Cupcake Shoppe Stationery. It contains 16 pieces of unique cupcake-themed paper and 16 envelopes. There are 4 designs total in the set. There’s even a sheet of stickers in the set! This stationery set is simply awesome. I love the designs and how cute all of it is. Now, I just need someone to write to. Haha! The stationery would be great for people going away for the summer (such as camp) and want to write home. I can also see myself using it in the future to simply say hello to someone.
