For the past 2 weeks I’ve been using a wonderful home fitness program, called FitKit. What makes this home fitness program is different is that there are different kits you can purchase that has different exercise libraries and nutrition tips! The available kits include travel, home, office, golf and dorm! Woot! Someone finally created something with us college students in mind.
Each kit comes with the same materials (pictured above) to get you started on a healthier life. One of my favorite pieces is the resistance tube with cushioned handles. This is great for strength training. I really like the handles on this as it makes it easier to use. Plus, you can increase or decrease the resistance by simply readjusting the distance from an object. I also really like the flat resistance band. It’s nice for strength training as well. However, it allows you to make more movements with it.
The kit also comes with a stability attachment that allows you to hook through the door frame of most buildings from the top, sides, or bottom to do different exercises. The doors at my dorm don’t actually go all the way to the bottom of the floor, so I couldn’t actually try out the bottom exercises. However, the other ones were fun and I could feel the burn.
Your kit comes with a code to access the exercise library and nutrition tips online. I think that’s great for today’s world because that means I can simply look up some exercises while listening to my own music. Plus, the exercises are grouped by which region you wish to work (abs, glutes, etc.). You can also find an assortment of healthy recipes on the site as well as weekly tips!
Oh, and the other neat thing about this kit is that the creators kept your safety in mind. It comes with an id bracelet, a reflective band, and a pedometer that has a safety alarm on it. So, I can feel safer walking across campus (whenever the snow clears) or in my neighborhood.
This is a great home fitness kit with many components for a great price. All of the kits can be purchased for $29.99! However, Laughing Lindsay readers are being offered a discount of 20% with a special coupon code. Simply enter “LaughingLindsay” (without the quotes) at FitKit’s site and get your discount!
Disclosure: I received a free kit for review purposes. No compensation was received. The opinions expressed are my own.
