I can’t believe that we are nearing the end of July. That means that school will be starting back soon. However, BlogHer marks the end of my off-season travels. So, I still have several weeks left to enjoy and I figured there’s no better way to spend those week than by reading. Check out my adult summer reading 2013 list (I’m saying it’s adult because I’m 23, I’m not saying they are all adult titles).
Adult Summer Reading 2013
I haven’t done an in-depth book review in sometime here. So, perhaps, I’ll get a chance to read these books soon and tell you about them. Without further ado, here’s my adult summer reading 2013 list:
- Raising Cubby – I’ve actually started this book, but haven’t had time to finish it yet. I read (and loved) Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robison, which was based on his life. Raising Cubby is about raising his son when the both of them have Asperger’s Sydrome. You may recall from the Asperkids Book review that I love to read about the syndrome. So, I really like John’s writing. It’s always truthful yet has humorous and touching stories. I really want to finish this one soon.
- Awaken – This may not be considered a true adult title. However, I’m in love with the series. I initially got into the triology when I reviewed Abandon by Meg Cabot back in 2011. I then downloaded and read the second in the series (Underworld) last summer, but I didn’t get a chance to write about it. Now, I’ve downloaded this last book and I can’t wait to see what happens.
- Any other Nicholas Sparks books – I have a couple around the house I’d like to either read again or finish reading.
Apparently, I have a habit of starting books and taking forever to finish them. Haha! I guess I just like to enjoy the stories as long as possible. So, what do you think of the books on my adult summer reading 2013 list? Have you read any of these authors? What have you read this summer?
